Directions
Download the Forky paper bag template, print and cut out the pieces. Begin to make Forky’s head by gluing the eyebrows to the top of his head.
Make the mouth by gluing the white inner portion to the blue outer portion. Glue the completed mouth just below the eyes.
Now take the finished Forky head and glue it to the brown paper bag flap.
Take Forky’s arms or just the middle part of his arms and glue it in place in the middle of Forky’s body.
Place Forky’s body on the main part of the paper bag and glue in place. Glue the tan clay mound to the bottom of Forky’s body and trim off any excess paper.
Now let your child play with their fun Forky puppet!
Forky Puppet Notes
Inside our free download, we gave you an option of two different mouths. One is the classic Forky smile and the other is the surprised Forky mouth.
Choose either one or feel free to make up your own Forky expression!
As you can see from the pictures, we did one Forky puppet with arms and the other one without the arms.
We actually prefer the one without arms for a few reasons. First, it’s much easier to just cut out the rectangle for his body.
If you choose to do the arms, your child will have to be good at precise cutting or you’ll have to cut it out for them.
Another reason we like to skip the arms is that they’re easy to accidentally rip. We’d suggest just putting the red rectangle on the puppet if you’re making it with toddlers, preschoolers, and other young kids.
This Forky craft would be a fun activity to do at a Toy Story birthday party or just when the kids are bored!
