Thanksgiving is one of the best holidays for helping children be mindful of the abundance in their lives. During this season, we take some time to sit and reflect on our greatest blessings. For many of us, our family is one of the best things we have.
One of our favorite ways to celebrate family is to sit down together and do a fun activity like this brown paper bag turkey craft! For even more ideas, check out our turkey activities for kids.

Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this turkey to life!
First, prepare the brown paper bag for the craft by cutting off about 3″ on the bottom.
Next, have your child glue the turkey’s beak to the bottom of the brown paper bag’s flap so that half of it hangs off.
Now, help your child to glue the red turkey’s snood onto the top, side of the turkey’s beak.
Glue or draw on the turkey’s eyes above the beak. Alternatively, you can also draw them on with markers.
Finally, encourage your child to arrange the turkey feathers in a fan along the back side of the brown paper bag. Once you’re happy with the arrangement, glue them in place.
