Directions
First, download and print out the template. Then, help your little one cut out the pieces or, if they’re still learning, you can cut them out for them.

Time to make the rainbow! Using markers, color each stripe of the rainbow. Encourage kids to color the rainbow any way they want.

Once the rainbow is colored and cut out, glue it onto a light blue construction paper background. Make sure to leave enough space at the bottom for the pot of gold!

Next, glue the white cloud at the top of the rainbow. This makes it look like the rainbow is coming out of a fluffy cloud!

Now, trace the child’s hand on yellow orange paper, cut it out, and glue it at the bottom of the rainbow. This will become the gold inside the pot!

Glue the black pot piece over the bottom of the handprint. The fingers should still be visible, looking like gold peeking out of the pot!

Use gold glitter glue or gold glitter and regular glue to trace over the handprint, making it sparkle like real gold coins.

Isn’t this the cutest way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? We think your kids will love making their own pot of gold! Be sure to check out some of our other St. Patrick’s Day crafts while you’re here!
