Hand Raccoon Craft

This project will help kids express their creativity and capture a moment in time, making this handprint activity a sweet keepsake and memento that parents can cherish long after the raccoon is complete.
All you need to get started is basic supplies like colored paper, scissors, glue, and, of course, your little ones’ cute little hands! Be sure to download the free template to guide you through creating a raccoon masterpiece.
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Raccoon template (unlock the free template at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring the raccoon to life!
First, glue the eyes on the black part of the raccoon’s face, on both sides of the nose.
Trace your child’s hand onto a piece of gray paper and cut it out. Position it with the thumb up, and the fingers pointing to the left. Place the head on the thumb portion of the handprint and glue it in place.
Now, help your child glue the tail behind and to the bottom of the body.
Finally, encourage your child to glue the raccoon to the side of the tree.
