Supplies

- Rainbow card template (click the “click here to get this freebie” image at the end to open the form)
Directions
Start by downloading the rainbow card template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity.
Let’s bring our rainbow to life with some color! Sit down with your kids and spread out a variety of crayons or markers. Encourage them to pick their favorite colors for the rainbow.
Once the coloring is complete, show your kids the dashed line on the paper. Explain that this line is like a guide for our next step. Carefully fold the paper along this dashed line, pressing down to make a crisp edge. Then, grab a pair of safety scissors and demonstrate how to cut out the rainbow.
Now, let’s give our rainbow some personality. Hand over the eyes and help your kids glue them to the middle of the rainbow. Once the eyes are in place, take a black marker, and together, draw a smiley mouth below them.
Finally, show your children the cloud cutouts and explain how these fluffy friends will anchor our rainbow. Apply glue to the bottom ends of the rainbow and press the clouds into place.
