Supplies

  • Photo of child
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Sunflower template (click the “click here to get this freebie” image at the end to open the form)

Directions

Start by downloading the sunflower template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this Mother’s Day activity.

First, guide your kids to glue their photos in the center of the sunflower.

Next up, it’s time to take the stem and glue it to the bottom of the paper. Help your child stick the stem securely as if our sunflower is reaching for the sun and growing tall and strong.

Now, let’s add some greenery to our sunflower! Help your kids glue the leaves on both sides of the stem.

To complete our cheerful masterpiece, have your child glue the sunflower to the top of the stem.
