Gather up some colorful paper, glue, and scissors to get started on this fun St. Patrick’s Day project. Get the kids and share the joy of crafting and celebrate the luck of the Irish together!

Directions

First things first, download the shamrock template. Once it’s downloaded, go ahead and print it out. Now before the kids can start building their masterpieces, they’ll need to carefully cut out the pieces that they will be using.

Next up, it’s glue time! Guide your child to spread glue all over the Shamrock background paper.

Now, let’s get creative with the green paper. Encourage your kids to tear it into small pieces, and then they can start the fun task of gluing them onto every part of the Shamrock section.

It’s time to bring our Shamrock to life! Position the eyes in the middle of the shamrock, just above the midpoint of the body.

Let’s not forget the mouth! Place it slightly below the eyes and stick it down with some more glue.

Lastly, let kids add the final touch – the tongue. Finish up by sticking the tongue to the bottom of the mouth. And there they’ve made their very own cute Shamrock.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock
  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Shamrock Template

Instructions

  1. Download the Shamrock template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  2. Begin by spreading glue over a whole section of the Shamrock background paper.
  3. Next, start tearing the green paper into small pieces. Then, begin gluing them on all parts of the Shamrocks section.
  4. Glue the eyes in the middle of the shamrock, just above the midpoint of the body.
  5. Position the mouth slightly below the eyes and glue it down.
  6. Finish up by gluing the tongue to the bottom of the mouth.
