Directions
Start by printing the template, then gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this walrus to life!

Look for the eye pieces and glue them below both eyebrows.

Add glue to the back of the tusks and attach them to the back and bottom of the snout. Press them in place for a few seconds, so they stay put.

Next, let your child color in the mouth piece. Once the mouth is colored, glue it to the back of the snout and tusks.

Take the heart piece that says “Stay cool, Valentine!” Glue it right in the center of the walrus’ body. This is a fun moment to ask your child who they plan to give their Valentine to!

Now glue the finished snout under the walrus’s eyes. See how your walrus is starting to come to life?

Let’s add a little extra charm. Take the cheeks and glue one on each side of the walrus’s face, just below the eyes. This tiny step makes a big difference and gives the walrus that happy, friendly look.

Glue the flippers on each side of the body so it looks like the walrus is hugging the heart.

Take the tail piece and tuck it just behind the left side of the walrus’s body so it peeks out. Add a little glue and press it down gently.

Lastly, find the ice piece and glue the walrus to the top of it, so it looks like he’s sitting right on it. Your child’s walrus Valentine is finished and ready to be shared!
