Inside: Set up this fun Halloween play doh invitation to play for your kids and have your kids make their own unique Frankenstein!
We love all the holidays around our house, Halloween included.
If you’ve been following along, you’ve seen recently we’ve been doing a ton of Halloween activities for kids.
So far we played with these Halloween tangram mats, made this easy skeleton craft for kids, played in this slimy Halloween sensory bin, read these non-scary Halloween books, used all these awesome Halloween activities for kids, and created this cute Frankenstein craft with brown paper bags.
It’s been a blast!
Today, we had some fun sensory play with this Halloween Play-Doh invitation to play.
Read on below to see how to set up this Frankenstein play dough activity for your kids.

Frankenstein Play Dough Supplies
- Green Play-Doh
- Black craft foam
- Plastic bolts
- Googly eyes
You can use any sort of bolt you want, I just used nylon bolts so it was more kid-friendly. They were harder to find, but my local hardware store had some in stock and they were really inexpensive.
Whatever supplies you decide to use, please be sure to watch your child the entire time to ensure their safety.
See this in action in the video below:
There are a couple of ways you can have your child play with this Halloween play dough.
You can give them free reign and tell them to create anything that they want. This is such a great activity to let kids exercise their creativity and imagination.
The picture above is the freestyle Frankenstein my son made.
My 3-year-old called it his “baby Frankenstein” and apparently, the bolts are actually his arms.
You gotta love the imagination, right?
To mix things up, you can also have your kids make Frankensteins in different categories.
For example, you can see who can make the smallest Frankenstein, an angry Frankenstein, a wild Frankenstein or any other category you can imagine.
You can also reinforce shapes by making square Frankensteins like the one above, circle Frankensteins, triangle Frankensteins and more!
However your kids choose to play, they’ll have lots of fun crafting their own unique Frankenstein.
