First, guide your child to glue the eyes to the face of the chicken.

Next, glue the beak below the eyes.

Now, help your child glue the green hat patch to the center of the scarecrow hat.

Glue the yellow hair to the back and bottom of the hat.

Draw the stitching marks all around the hat patch.

Position the scarecrow hat on top of the head and glue it in place.

Place and glue the patch to the center of the overalls.

Using the marker, draw the stitching marks all around the patch.

Next, glue the head to the top of the overalls.

Glue the wings on the back and sides of the body.

Position the straw to the bottom and back of the overall legs and glue them in place.

Chicken Scarecrow Craft

A day on the farm can spark creativity and kids can bring their imaginations to life with a creative chicken scarecrow craft.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Chicken scarecrow template

Instructions

  1. Download the template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  2. Begin by gluing the eyes to the face of the chicken.
  3. Next, glue the beak below the eyes.
  4. Now, glue the green hat patch to the center of the scarecrow hat.
  5. Glue the hair straw to the bottom and back of the hat.
  6. Draw the stitching marks all around the hat patch.
  7. Position the scarecrow hat on top of the head and glue it in place.
  8. Place and glue the patch to the center of the overalls.
  9. Using the marker, draw the stitching marks all around the patch.
  10. Next, glue the head to the top of the overalls.
  11. Glue the wings to the back and sides of the body.
  12. Position the leg straw to the bottom and back portion of the overalls and glue them in place.
  13. Finish off by gluing the feet to the bottom and back of the leg straw.
