St Patrick’s Day Leprechaun For Kids
Plus, kids can incorporate a little extra learning by identifying different shapes as they put their leprechaun together when they spot rectangles, squares, circles, and ovals along the way.
It’s also a great way for kids to get some scissor practice in, as well as honing their fine motor control when they glue each piece in place.
To get started, be sure to download our free template and gather a few simple supplies like construction paper, scissors, and glue. After a little cutting, pasting, and creativity, kids will have a festive craft that’s perfect for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.
Supplies
- Markers
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors

Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this leprechaun to life!

First, guide your child to glue the eyes in the middle of the face.

Draw the eyebrows above the eyes.

Next, glue the beard to the bottom portion of the face.

Place the hat band in the bottom portion of the hat and glue it down.

Glue the outer buckle in the center of the hat band.

Position the inner buckle in the center of the outer buckle and glue it in place.

Now, glue the hat on top of the leprechaun’s head.

Glue the head to the top portion of the body.

Next, help your child to glue the leprechaun’s pot towards the bottom of the body.

Glue the gold coins to the top of the pot. Next, take the hands and glue them on both sides of the coins.

Finally, encourage your child to glue the feet to the back and bottom portion of the body.
