Disguise Your Ghost As A Mermaid

Instead of floating through the halls in their typical spooky sheet, this little ghost is ready to make a splash as a mermaid.  When kids disguise a ghost as a mermaid, they’ll get to flex their imaginations and show off their creativity. They can customize their mermaid ghost’s features like her hair and tail with their favorite colors. 

Your little ghosts and ghouls will also strengthen their fine motor control and practice using scissors when they cut and glue each piece in place.

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Directions

Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this ghost mermaid to life!

Take the mermaid tail piece, which has a fun scaled pattern, and glue it to the bottom of the ghost body. Look at how cute your ghost is starting to look with its new tail!

Now for the perfect mermaid detail, the seashells. Glue the purple seashells right above the mermaid tail. This step really brings the ghost’s mermaid disguise to life!

Next, take the red hair cutout and glue it to the top of the ghost’s body. The hair piece has lines on it to make it look wavy and flowing, just like a real mermaid’s hair!

Almost done! Carefully glue the white paper arms to the sides of the ghost’s body.

Mermaid Disguise A Ghost School Project

Materials

Instructions

  • Download the template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • First, glue the mermaid tail to the bottom of the ghost body.
  • Next, glue the seashells right above the mermaid tail.
  • Then, attach the hair piece to the top of the ghost’s body.
  • Finally, glue the arms to the sides of the ghost’s body.
