Directions
Download the snowman template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

First, begin by making the puffy paint. It’s simple to do – just mix equal parts of shaving cream and liquid glue into a bowl. Mix thoroughly.

Use a paintbrush to paint inside the lines of the snowman template. We like to really layer it on so the snowman is three-dimensional. Let it dry completely before gluing the pieces on.

Take the hat and glue it to the top of the head.

Place the eyes slightly below the hat and glue them in place.

Position the carrot nose in between and slightly below the eyes and glue it down.

Next, glue the mouth just below the eyes.

Take the scarf and glue it where the 2 snowballs meet. Don’t push down too hard or you’ll flatten your puffy paint.

Finish off the snowman by gluing the buttons to the middle of the snowman’s body.

Cut off the bottom of the snowman template page.
That’s it! This is a fun and simple winter craft for kids!

Winter Unit For Kids
Do you want to keep the fun going? If so, we suggest creating a winter-themed unit that is not only engaging but also educational!
We recommend starting any new unit or theme with books. Reading aloud to your kids is beneficial for their development and can help them with improving their vocabulary, increasing their focus, and more!
The Biggest Snowman Ever – When the mayor of Mouseville announces the town snowman contest, Clayton and Desmond claim that they will each make the biggest snowman ever.
The Snowy Day – This story shows a child’s wonder at a new world and the hope of capturing and keeping that wonder forever.
Sneezy The Snowman– Sneezy is COLD! And he’s trying to warm up without success. But, the kids know exactly how to help him!

Crafting is another great way to have fun and learn skills at the same time! Letting kids make crafts can help them work on fine motor skills, learn to use scissors better, follow directions, and so much more!

How many cans of shaving cream did you use?
I have a class of 20 students, not sure how much I would need.
I think I did 1-2 tablespoons of each and I had a lot left over (after making 2 snowmen), but it would depend on how much the kids paint onto each snowman, too.
