Turkey Headband Craft For Kids [With Free Template]

If there’s one thing that comes to your mind when you think of Thanksgiving, it’s got to be turkeys!

While we love Thanksgiving dinner, complete with a juicy turkey, we also love crafting and spending time together as a family.

This turkey headband craft is a perfect way to build new family memories, craft, and get in the Thanksgiving spirit.

We’re giving you a printable template to make this Thanksgiving turkey headband with your kids too! And if you don’t want to craft, you can also print out the black and white version and have the kids color their headband instead!

This is a simple activity toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarten, and elementary aged children will love doing over the holiday season.

Supplies

Directions

Download the turkey template, print, and cut out the pieces.

Glue the eyes in the center of the turkey’s head. Glue the turkey’s beak just below the eyes.

Place the snood just above the beak and glue in place.

Assemble the turkey feathers by fanning them out and gluing or taping them together.

Add the headband extenders to the headband base by taping them together, then form a circle and tape the ends together to finish the headband.

Place the turkey feathers inside the back of the Thanksgiving headband and tape it into place. We taped the feather to the inside bottom of the headband and to the outside back of the headband.

That’s it! This craft is the perfect accessory for your kids to wear this Thanksgiving! They’ll look so good wearing their new, colorful headband to any school holiday parties. This easy Thanksgiving craft would also make a great addition to your Thanksgiving table setting!
