Valentine Giraffe Craft
This festive project is perfect for adding a personal touch to Valentine’s Day while encouraging your kiddos to hone their fine motor skills and show off their artistic skills.
Read on below to find the step-by-step instructions and to download our free giraffe template. You’ll just need a handful of basic supplies, and you’ll be ready to get started.
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Markers
- Giraffe template (unlock the image at the end of the post to go to the download page)

Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this giraffe to life!

First, encourage your child to draw the spots around the giraffe’s body.

Next, draw the hoof on the bottom portion of the feet.

Position the inner ears in the center of the ears and glue them in place.

Glue the eyes below on the inside of the eyelashes.

Now, help your child glue the mouth and nose piece below the eyes.

Place the heart in the center of the body.

Next, glue the arms to the sides of the heart.

Glue the cheeks below the eyes.

Position the ossicones (horn-like pieces) to the top and back of the head and glue them down.

Finally, guide your child to glue the circle part of the ossicone to the top portion of the previous piece.
