Pirate Mother’s Day Card Craft For Kids [Free Template]

It’s never too early to start thinking about Mother’s Day! This year, why not let the kids make some homemade Mother’s Day cards?

This pirate Mother’s Day card craft is perfect for little ones. They can make the boy or girl card, and they’ll be so proud to give it to Mom.

Pirate Card Craft

Supplies

Boy Pirate Directions

Start by downloading the boy pirate template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this pirate template to life!

Begin by guiding your child to fold the card base in half along the dashed line. Then, with a steady hand, cut out the head, making sure to leave the top line uncut.

Take the hair and glue it to the top of the head.

Next, glue the eyes below the hair, framing them on either side of the nose.

Now, help your child create the pirate hat by gluing the skull and crossbones to the middle of the hat.

Encourage your child to glue the hat to the top of the boy’s hair.

Lastly, open up the card and write a special message inside.

Girl Pirate Directions

Start by downloading the girl pirate template and printing it out.

Begin making the card by guiding your child to fold the girl’s card base in half along the dashed line. Then have the kids cut out the head, making sure to keep the top line intact.

Next, take the front hair piece and glue it to the top of the girl’s head.

Place the bandana ends just below the ears and glue them to the back of the card.

Position the back hair piece to the back of the head and securely glue it in place.

Encourage your child to create the bandana top by gluing white circles all over it. Trim off any excess paper that hangs off the sides.

Help your child to glue the finished bandana to the top of the girl’s hair.

Lastly, open up the card and write a cute message on it.

Pirate Mother's Day Card Craft For Kids

Set sail for a fun and festive Mother's Day activity with your little buccaneers. This pirate Mother's Day card craft is perfect for kids of all ages.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Pirate template

Instructions

Boy Pirate Directions

  1. Download the pirate template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  2. Fold the card base in half along the dashed line, then cut the head out, leaving the top line uncut.
  3. Take the hair and glue it to the top of the head.
  4. Next, glue the eyes below the hair, on either side of the nose.
  5. Create the pirate hat by gluing the skull and crossbones to the middle of the hat.
  6. Finish off by gluing the hat to the top of the boy's hair.
  7. Open it up and write a special message inside.
