St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, and it’s time to get creative! Creating is a great way to celebrate the holiday with your kids while teaching them some valuable skills.
Our leprechaun handprint craft will surely put a smile on your kid’s face this St. Paddy’s Day! Not only is it fun and easy, but you’ll have something to treasure for years to come.

Leprechaun Hand Craft
Let your kids get creative with their projects – no two will be the same! With this handprint leprechaun, your kids will work on their cutting skills and hand-eye coordination as they cut out and assemble the paper pieces.
This easy activity is sure to be a hit with kids of all ages! Download the free template and follow our tutorial below to get started.
Supplies
- Colored cardstock
- Glue
- Scissors
- Markers
- Leprechaun template (click the “click here to get your freebies” image at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this leprechaun to life!

First, guide your child to glue the eyes to the middle of the leprechaun’s face.

Next, place the nose just below and in between the eyes, then glue it in place.

Now, help your child to use an orange marker to draw the eyebrows just above the eyes.

Trace your child’s hand onto a piece of orange paper, cut it out, and glue the leprechaun’s face in the middle of the handprint with the fingers pointed down.

Place the hat band to the middle of the hat and glue it down.

Glue the yellow buckle in the middle of the black band and then secure the black inner buckle in the middle of the yellow buckle.


Finally, encourage your child to place the completed hat on top of the leprechaun handprint and glue it in place.

Instructions
